I got medicine for my foot and it was getting much better until yesterday I got an infection under the skin. I then get really sick and so we had a doctor come by. This doctor did a house call, wrote me 6 perscriptions and left, on a Sunday, and I only had to pay him $12.50 That's pretty cool. Stephanie helped me out a lot even though I whined like a baby for days. And i'm much better, though it's been a wasted weekend. Cheers.

Gooooaaalllll!!!!
Yesterday, Took a trip to Mysore and saw a lot of palaces and temples and such. Good times. Even found mountain dew there. No lie. I'd go into details but I've lost the gumption. So suffice it to say the stuff was neat, and the mountain dew was delicious. I have medication for my dying foot, we'll see if I can keep it. My camera has been ganked so no more pictures from it. But Stephanie took the following pictures from the Mysore trip.

Muslim Mosque, pretty cool.

Huuuge palace.

I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you.
Stampy!
This Camel is gnarly.
Another member of my Monkey army.
Howie got dotted, but I dodged the dot myself, i'm too fast for the priests in the temples.Saturday, March 8, 2008

This weekend I went to commercial street with some people from work and I officially decided I hate that place. All kinds of shop trying to convince you to buy stuff, very miserable. Afterwords we went to this place where they play metal music and this guy from work Vikrant talked me into joining an air guitar contest. So I did, thus finding my true calling in life. Needless to say, I play a mean Air guitar and I won the contest. Course the prize was a Megadeath cd, which I'll probably never listen to. If you ask how I got so bitter, I'll ask how you got so vain.

My foot is literally rotting off. I need to go to a doctor before it reaches amputation level, but I am scared to go to the doctor here. People tell me you go in for a sinus infection and IF you come out, your arms have been sawed off. Apparently they don't believe in hydrogen peroxide here either. Tomorrow I plan on bribeing a pharmacist here to give me antibiotics w/o a prescription. That's the beauty of India, everything has a price. If that fails though, this is likely my last post. Don't cry for me, I'm prepared for death. I welcome death over this foot disease. I'd show a picture, but I want to die with dignity. On a bright note, I got my mop trimmed. And here's the weirdest part about that story, the guy was so upset that she had ripped him off for his money, she was actually wedged under the front of the fire bird. And he's trying to get the ten dollars of rock back outta her hand. I told you about that, she was actually wedged under the front of the fire bird.

Well, yesterday I went down to SP road to get a power converter as to make my xbox and Wii work, but still no dice. I tired to return it today and the dude tested it and it worked, and he also tested my xbox power source and apparently it is fried, which is probably the same for my Wii. So, I'm gonna have to get new power cords for both. can't get em here either. D'oh! Go Giants!

Josh and Deborah's new baby has arrived. It's name is Wyatt Nelson Hensley. Congrats! Here is a photo. On a related front, word on the streets is that my newly remarried X-wife Sarah is now pregnant. On to more important issues, Showers. Here in India they don't use water heaters as we know them back home. We use Geysers. Which is about thirteen gallons of heated water. This results in a roughly 5 minute shower, not quite as satisfying. In addition, it is not always on, there is a light switch you turn on and then wait about 20-30 minutes for the water to be heated, so no jumping right outta bed and into the shower. Here's a photo of a geyser, and Wyatt.

I was attacked by a vicious monster this week. I was able to destroy it, Yet I managed to photograph it just beforehand. Upon it's detruction, crowds of locals gathered to view the man who destroyed the beast of Bangalore. They hoisted me upon their shoulders and carried me down the street. The knighting ceremony is next Tuesday. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the now vaporized demon.

Yesterday a guy named Beeju from the office took me and this other guy from TRX Atlanta who is visiting BLR till Monday, Who is named Shaun, to some back-alley shops here in Bangalore. I was able to buy lots of pirated films and games for dirt cheap. Some are burned directly from the dvds, and cost less than one dollar each, others are up to 12 movies bundled for about 3 dollars.. pretty good deals. I bought 8 Xbox 360 games, each for 5 dollars. So i got 8 games for 40.00 dollars, in comparison, before i left the usa I bought 2 games for 100.00 dollars. so Woot. Now the bad news, I cannot watch these movies or play these games cuz my Xbox will not work in the plug here. I blew 4 fuses and almost burned down the house trying to get it to work. Last night i bought a converter, so hopefully that can remedy that, if not, it is going to be a long year. I do not have the internet yet at my apartment, so i am still sleeping at the TRX corporate apartment until i get internet and phone.

I did pretty much all the finalizations on my apartment yesterday and got the key and all that. This morning i was watching the nfl playoffs and was cooking ramen noodles and then heard all this strange indian music playing out side. I decided to determine the source and walked in that general direction and found a shrine were people were worshipping what i can only assume was shiva. Apparently you must do so while blaring music through the city @ 4am. who woulda knew. i took a few photos the last of which i took from my helicopter.

Namaste। I have arrived in blr। Whew... it is about time. About 6 hours of violent turbluence on my transatlantic flight quite hindered my ability to consume liquid without spilling it all over myself. That's all i have to say about that. This thing keeps making me type in hindi... My bags did make it this time, sweet, although one of my wheels done felled oft. Working on moving into my new place, i think i can attach pictures of the crib on this thing. Regardless, i am now off to open a bank account and purchase a mobile telephone.
